I know, I know. Be careful what you wish for. All I wanted was weather to wear my lightest summer wardrobe scores. Then the heat wave came. Nothing reminds you more that you live in the Valley than three straight days of temps above 110 degrees. You read that right. 110. My car topped out at 119 while I was cruising down the 405 last week. But that was apparently peanuts compared to other people’s cars. 124 degrees. 132 degrees. Yes, this is what people told me when I lamented about 119 degrees. And yes, this actually happened just days after the summer solstice. We all know car thermometers can be a little off, but still… COME ON.
Anyway, enough about the weather. Let’s talk about how floral rompers are still a thing. Thank you, Coachella. I found this one at H&M for $12.99. It’s super light and I love how the bright flowers pop against the black. I also scored this hat from Kerol D Apparel last season, shoes from Forever 21, and turquoise necklace and cuffs by my favorite, The 2 Bandits. Oh, and let’s talk about my all-black backpack! It’s called a Black Out Be Right Back by Ju-Ju-Be, and I’m obsessed with all of the pockets and the striped lining.
I actually just partnered with Ju-Ju-Be as one of their Content Creators, so I’ll be showing off how I style and pack their adorable and functional bags for the next few months. I’m really so stoked about this partnership because I’ve been buying their bags for a few years now and I’m obsessed with them! Woot.
Thanks to my pal Christine Cabanos for the photos.
